The Postgate Inn, Egton Bridge

My wife found this pub on the internet last year while we were looking to stay in Yorkshire .

I have to say I am very VERY glad she found it !!!

We stayed for a weekend last autumn & have just come back from a weekend there with my wifes Sister and brother in law ( They loved it ) .

The Staff could not be more friendly and welcoming if they tried .

The rooms are lovely & the food is simply stunning , I am not exagerating , it is part of a chain of pubs but you would never know it & what does that matter anyway ?

We will be returning in the summer of 2010 ( if not before ) but , living in Dorset , means it is not easy to pop up there ( more's the pity ) .

Sitting at a table outside in the evening with a pint & listening to the Owls , watching the Bats , is so relaxing , throw in a fantastic location , BLISS !!!!!
