having only visited several times i can only comment on what i have experienced and i must admit that each time i have visited i have been extremely pleased. i have found it to be a top-class place which is hard to find in guildford and definately hard to find in local villages. i look forward to going back because its an all-round excellent place. the food is of a high standard and the range is brilliant and even though the prices are quite high, you get what you pay for! theres a real friendly atmosphere amongst the staff who appear attentive and willing to help and chat to you. amazing location as well!

The Elk in the Woods, Islington

Good food, great atmosphere, lovely decor. Small cozy and intimate.
BUT Appauling service. Dreadful positioning of guests on tables - we had booked, yet there were 3 of us on a table for 2, whilst 2 people sat comfortably on a table for 4.
