The Bucks Head, Meonstoke

10 of us walkers with boots plus a dog were made extremely welcome, they even lit the log fire at our request. Great pub food at reasonable prices and good beer. They were the highlight of a very good day.

The Royal Oak, Holmbury St Mary

Great pub, 14 of us walkers decended on the pub today for lunch, they couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Walking boots and dog were taken in their stride, awkward drinks like Ginger wine with hot water were obligingly provided and the food was good to eat and good value by Surrey standards by a nice roaring fire. Thanks.
