The Three Tuns, Ashwell

We went to this pub for Sunday lunch last weekend. What was supposed to be a delicious roast with my family turned into a disater. For �10.95 you would expect to get a decent plate of food. Unfortunately this was not the case. I orderd the roast beef. Bad mistake. What I received on my plate were a few colourless vegetables and two 1cm slabs of something covered in Bisto. The beef tasted horrible, was tough as old boots and after two attempts to swallow some I called the waitress over to tell her. My exact words were "Could you please have a chat to the chef about my beef. It's very tough and I feel I need a chainsaw to cut it. 25 seconds later my plate was back in front of me with a message from the chef..."That's how it comes!" I was shocked and didn't eat anymore of it. Why would I want to!? When we asked for the bill I asked to speak to the manager. He wasn't there apparently so a different waitress asked me what was up. I told her that I wasn't happy with the beef, yet they put the plate back in front of me and told me "that's how it comes." Her answer to me was that no one else had complained! Can you believe that?
Seriously...If you are thinking of eating here then please reconsider. Bad food, terrible staff and a "chef" that has no idea what good food is. I would have been ebarrassed to serve that meat to a dog, yet alone charge good money for it.
