Tend to miss Roy, half expecting him to appear on "You Got Talent" or whatever, amused to see Murphys digging the Goring Gap up again. Hope Mick, David Laycock, Rory et al are in good form. Pubs if they are to remain part of the social fabric of rural areas, need to be used, regularly, look on beerdrinking as a civic duty, I do, makes me feel good inside.

The Perch and Pike, South Stoke
A true English pub, I was a regular with the first wave of Murphy pipeline guys in the late eighties. I usually call in during the day, if I am in the area, I can just imagine the ghost of old Fred Turner with his large Bells whiskey, approving the tasteful embellishments to the pub, Great to see the Perch & Pike (besides St. Andrews of course) remaining the focal point of this quintessentially English village long may it continue.
