In process of having overdue interior refurb and looking good. Affiliated to CAMRA and Ales are both good and varied. Food offering much improved and good value. Nice garden and seating area. Pool and Darts, Live Music, Friendly service and worth a visit.

The Anglers Retreat, Staines

Do we assume that the Owners of The Anglers Retreat ARE the same as The Three Horseshoes nearby or have Nothing to do with either pub as suggested by "nightman" or actually have Anything to do with Anything? I don't know as the "write up" seems to be at best defamatory and at worst libellous. Could anyone clear up this matter? It seems too serious to be left "hanging" in such a way and is at least unfair without the Right of Reply. I have no axe to grind either way as I have no personal interest other than I am a Licensee and hate to see a business trashed, though ignorance.
I have visited the pub on a few occasions and I assure "nightman" that MY standards are high and have never been challenged by what I have seen there.
