The Bakers Arms, Danbury

Bit limited with range of beers: Greene King IPA and Abbot plus Guinness and various lagers. Pool and darts. Very friendly staff and very good atmosphere. Good pub food and takeaway fish and chips. Worth popping in if you're passing through and worth being a regular if you're a local.

The Rodney Inn, Little Baddow

A good pub spoilt by people who can't run a pub. Nice beer garden, nice interior and good choice of beers. I was the only person there at lunchtime recently and saw only one other customer on another visit. Surly landlord. Good pub if you want to sit and drink outside. Good surroundings for a crowd to go to drink, when you'd create your own atmosphere. If there's just two or three of you, go further up the hill to the General's.

The General's Arms, Little Baddow

Friendly pub with a good choice of beers. Lunch of roast potato with generous topping was very filling and good value. Dinner in the evening was of a good standard with some nice wine available. Comfortable place to sit around chatting in front of the fire. Nice beer garden. A pub to which you can take your dog or kids.
