Cat and Fiddle Inn, Macclesfield

Having read the "What kind of reviews are allowed?" section I will keep this to the point so hopefully it won't get deleted and others can read it. I and a few mates who are in a Mondeo online forum (MEG) planned a visit here on one of our monthly meets. We pulled up onto the car park and were having a bit of a chat before going in and the landlady came out and confronted us. She demanded to know whether we were going into the pub and I said yes. I was eating a pie for my breakfast and she said I couldn't eat it in her car park as she sold food in the pub so I should leave the car park. I obliged by moving off the car park to finish my breakfast, she stood there watching me and then ranted that we must all go and we did. I must add that I am 41 years old and my wife and two kids were in the car. As we never actually got in the pub I cannot comment as to it's quality. The road leading to it and past it is very good. I suggest you stay on the road and find a more welcoming pub elsewhere.
