The Waterman's Arms, Ashprington

I have eaten at The Watermans many times and stayed here on business too. Really surprised at the two previous reviews. The Watermans is a pub at the end of the day so dont expect tablecloths, silver service or resturant prices. Do expect well cooked food that is made on the premises not bought in, I recently had the burger, which was mouth wateringly delicous and found out it was sourced form the cows you can see out the window ! How locally sourced can you get ! The lettuce in it was picked over night and bought in fresh the next morning from a locals farm up the road, ithe Copper is the landlords Favourite and it is a good pint ,ts all very good not overpriced and all locally sourced. The rooms are clean and cosy and the little extras always surprise me, no calling reception for extra milk portions there is always plenty.
I would and do reccommend this place to anyone who is visiting Devon and would like to take this oppurtunity to thank Rob and his wife and the staff for their hospitality which they always extend to me whilst I am staying. Cheers Guys
