The Lamplighter, St Helier

I recently visited the lamplighter at the beginning of January 2013, and found this establishment to be very welcoming, very well run and had a well received large selection of real ales and ciders. A very good selection of malt whiskeys and an outstanding steak night. The food was absolutely lovely. Staff were very polite, met the landlord on the second evening who was very friendly, even bought us a few rounds, which is something you don't see nowadays. Shame that there isn't more pubs like this around. This place is a gem, if you ever visit st helier then the lamplighter is a must go, isn't to be missed.
