The Fir Tree, Oxford
Went to the Fir Tree last week to find it is now under new management, so the mangy dogs have gone. It's had a thorough clean and is looking really good, though the old charm hasn't gone (nor the excellent juke box!). Apparently they're going to start doing food in August. Definitely worth checking out again if you're in the Cowley/Iffley Road area and want a cosy, friendly, pleasantly quirky neighbourhood pub.
