The New Inn Hotel, Clovelly

first time back to Clovelly in 30 years and was just as I remembered, the New Inn is about halfway up/down the cobbled High St making it a perfect stop off for the steep climb back up to the car park, nice open front with a cool shady interior on a hot day and a perfectly chilled San Miguel pint was just the ticket....service was quick and the locals happy to chat to day trippers, will certainly go back!

The New Inn, Send

.............called in here a number of times and really like the setting, nice mix of customers and perfect for a Sunday pint or a summers evening relaxation after work, the service although polite and efficient somehow lacks the atmosphere you'd expect to find in a lovely pub like this, I hope this to be taken as constructive criticism but a cheery greeting or goodbye would be a start plus the wall lights could benefit from a dimmer switch in the evening to help create the mellow ambience it deserves,
