The Old Chestnut Tree Inn, Lower Moor

i first visited the old chestnut tree roughly 8 yrs ago, and in truth, at that time, it was dreadful! However management changed hands in 2009 and upon my most recent visit, the change was almost unbelievable! Nowadays the pub is buzzing with people - local and non local - and the atmosphere is totally different. The interior layout has been changed, all carpets pulled out, and original flag-stone flooring in this 15th century building has been restored.
Havn't tried their food yet, but in comparison to 8 yrs ago, the quality and variation of choice seems to have greatly improved. The Ales are wonderful, with one guest beer in rotation, and 2 or 3 regulars - all local.
Pool table, parking, and outdoor drinking areas also.
