Hoylake Lights, Hoylake

Wetherspoons in Hoylake... it really is a different pub depending on which time of day, and indeed what day you go in! on the usual day, its mostly empty, the odd person sitting down to watch the tv over a pint and a paper, or a pair who has nipped in for a quick bite and a drink.
nighttime in the week - sunday night to thursday night, its mainly full of older blokes and the odd missus gone out for a drink and a chat, very boring
any school holiday friday/saturday
just about every university student in hoylake is tryning to get in, the placve is packed from about 8pm to closing and the atmosphere is great.
out of holidays, friday/saturday
mostly 'founddrunkinyourgarden's comment, but thats if they get there first, if the place is semi-full of students not in uni, the older people wont tend to stay long and it stays like that through the night, often younger people come down from the clubs at about 11-12 after they have closed to finish off their night, then the atmosphere picks up.

overall, very strange place to work, anddrink if you're there at the wrong time!
mediocre score.
never had problems with the quality of the drinks by the way, idk what the others are talking about here

what can i say? too loud, expensive drinks, often crowded due to being far too small and its only really kids that go there.
griffo, the drinks are going to be extremely expensive in the middle of a world event aren't they? not really suprised at �9.80 for two drinks
