Barracuda Bar, Altrincham

This place is still getting slagged off due to the reputation of the former Litter Tree/Mar Med! Its not them any more. The owners of 'The Barracuda' are doing a great job. Any trouble that does happen, happens when people leave the bar-and is generally caused by riff-raff who havn't even been in there - who wouldn't even get in there. I have been in on SEVERAL Friday nights now - and not one bit of trouble!I've always had a good night. Its good for lads as normally the girls out number the lads 2 - 1! There are usually alot of pretty girls in here too. Seriously! Bar Staff could be a little friendlier though. I personally can't fault the door staff - they seem very professional - and have always been friendly with me! (I've only ever seen them be 'aggresive' towards scallies! Which is fair play!) Defo worth going in and checking out if out and about in Alty.

Suburbia, Hale

Fantastic drinking spot right in the heart of Hale Village (Only 10 minute walk from Altrincham Town Centre)A little exclusive feeling as it is a magnet for the local celebs.(Andrew 'Freddy' Flintoff', Several Man Utd 1st team players plus the even more famous...Coronation street Stars!) Perfect place to take your partner, Live music or Dj most weekend nights. Drinks are a little pricey, but you'l see why once inside.Friendly staff, Relaxed and Safe atmosphere. A local gem.

The Unicorn, Altrincham

Well!This pub has definately improved since opening. Most of the Bar and Kitchen Staff are fantastic and very friendly. The place now opens at 8am every morning, and serves alcohol from 9am. The Breakfasts are certainly worth a look, especially the Farmhouse. Saturdays are the best for Breakfast as Claire's in the kitchen. Usually a nice relaxed atmosphere and currently do a BOGOF on coffee/mocha/late etc. Ideal for people who work nights such as the crazy local Tesco night staff!Perfect place to go after a long hard night's graft! Well done to all the Staff. Claire,Cheryll,Emilly,Karen,Lauren and the lads. Keep up the good work!Go on,pop in some time. A great addition to the soon to be re-developed Altrincham!
