Hazelnut Fleurs, Beckenham

This bar is a little gem. A short walk from Elmers End train station it's a great stop off on the way home for a glass of wine and a catch up. A couple of regulars tend to prop up the bar by the door but they have always been very friendly to us so don't let them put you off going in. Its pretty dinky inside but the beer garden out front is great on a sunny day. Haven't had a chance to try one of their platters yet but they look yummy and I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

The Coach and Horses, Beckenham

This pub has a lot of potential but one thing really holding it back - Mr Grumpy the landlord! What a horrible, rude man he is! Myself and my friends had thought we'd stumbled across a gem of a pub on the weekend. A lovely waitress, friendly locals, good range of drinks and a good location (not to mention the beer garden) but this man's rudeness literally drove us out after he told us to "shut up and leave" because our group of 7 (mixture of friends and friendly pub locals) were being too loud. We were only chatting and laughing over a drink - surely that's what you go to the pub to do!

It was truly shocking how rude that man was. Even the locals were embarrassed! What a terrible shame.
