Where do I start?

Dirty glasses, dirty carpet, bad beer and run by the very uninviting regulars.

From the moment I walked in, I wanted to leave (I would have, if I could have unstuck my feet from the carpet).

The pub is made up of two ends of the bar. One end is VERY quiet and the other seemed to be full of drunk Irish lads singing anti-British songs and falling into people.

The landlord looked on and did nothing.

As a man, it was intimidating. If I'd been a woman, I'd ahve been terrified. No wonder there was only one woman in there.
