The Cowherds Inn, Southampton

Always friendly, always helpful, they do not mind children, great beer, good food and the only issue that stops me giving it 10/10 is the parking which is due to the location and popularity.

As a family place to eat I wouldn't bother and I refuse to eat or drink here again. If you are on your own and a quick convenient pint is all you want then fine.
I was refused service just because I would not to let my 3 year old son out of my sight. The staff member in question was extremely rude, offered no alternative or help and constantly shouted "it's the law". This is the first time I have been discriminated against for being a single parent father.
I would strongly recommend The Cowherds on the other side of the common.
