This pub has suffered a lot over the last few yeas with neglect, both from Fullers (for letting them have the tenancies) and the Tenants themselves. However, that changed in October 2013 with the temporary lisencee. The pub has been transformed with new carpet in the Saloon Bar and a wooden floor in the Public Bar. Entertainment is provided daily by the Bar Staff, including Kerry during the day, and Craig or Sean (the licenee's), or their varied selection of bar staff in the evenings, but the do a mean Karaoke every other Friday and live singers/bands at least once a month.
Food offerings are available every day (except Sunday's) and the food is simple but excellent value for money (I recommend the Steak and Ale homemade pie -to die for). Drinks are MUCH cheaper than the nearby Fuller's Hotel The Red Lion, but the beer is clean, crisp and better than many a local competitor.
This is a friendly Local with a great warm welcome extended to visitors anytime. Children are welcome until 6pm, making this truly an adult venue. Close to Uxbridge town centre for the younger crowd.
We'll worth a visit at any time of the year!!!!

What can I say. "The pub that Fuller's forgot" is a very apt statement. That said, let me update you on a few points. Fred no longer runs the pub, instead Sean and Craig Deacon-Adams run it now, and have done since 2010. The beer is excellent (as approved by Cask Marque and being Fuller's own Master Cellarman Award.
Their Sunday carvery is becoming the talk of the area, with a weekly selection of at least three meats every week, FRESH vegetables, and all the trimmings. A fine selection of freshly made starters (I recommend the home-made pate) and at least four dessert options.
It may not be a-la carte, but it is excellent food at an unbelievable price. A meal for four people is under £60.00, which includes drinks!!
The licencee is Sean who, with his waiting and bar staff, ensure a warm welcome every time.
They have Karaoke every other Friday and put on a selection of live singers and bands every month.
A former locals-only establishment which is welcoming an altogether younger and more varied crowd while retaining its original feel.
My opinion - try it out - you may just be surprised. I return regularly and I NEVER thought I would after reading old reviews!!
