W9, Maida Vale

My husband and I spent 30 minutes in the W9 Bar and will NOT be returning. We arrived at about 10.30pm after visiting friends locally and were served by the landlady who was extremely unpleasant. This woman, who seemed very drunk, would scream abuse at people who were sitting at the bar and use language like I have seldom heard a woman use in my life - at people who had done nothing to deserve it. The only time she stopped screaming and swearing at people was when she would take another swig of what looked like gin from a large glass. We would have left straight away but we had a taxi coming at 11.00pm to collect us from the top of the road to take us home. If you enjoy obnoxious, foul-mouthed drunken landlady's who howl abuse at people and swear like a docker then I would recommend the W9 Bar. If not I suggest you avoid this place like the plague! ... 0/10. CLAUDIA.
