The Old Harkers Arms, Chester

Always been a favorate but popped in for lunch last week and found the menu very pricey. The food was Ok but not as good as previously - the fish and chips soggy and too greasy. Perhaps just a one off. Ale choice great as always.

The New Helsby Arms, Helsby

Visited for Sunday Lunch. Good value & quality with as many roast spuds and veg as you want. Massive Yorkshire puds. We were all stuffed. Was really busy but the service was still pleasant and unhurried. Lovely log fire, papers and relaxed atmosphere. Good choice of ales in great condition. Will def go again.

The Helter Skelter, Frodsham

Used to be a great place for a quality pint but not any more - the quality of the beer has really gone done lately.
