The Trowel and Hammer, Lowestoft

Still a great little pub, even though I keep getting tha name wrong... The Crab and Spatula, The Toothpick and Spaniel, The Bin Liner and Sarcasm. Cosy little bar with a low ceiling and really inviting in winter. Good food and a friendly atmosphere make this place a must, even if it is a bit off the beaten track. Very popular with locals and there can be few better pleasures than to sit in their extensive beer garden on a sunny winter afternoon with a chilled pint of stella. The gents toilets need some attention and HEATING!

The Jolly Sailors, Pakefield

A bit of an odd one is The Jolly Sailors. This cliff top pub/restaurant outwardly has all the charm of a DIY conservatory gone wrong and the interior needs a healthy helping of TLC. Having said that the staff are friendly, the food is good and the atmosphere is very relaxing with great sea views. 6/10.
