Reading DPARTRID's comment about Patrick leaving, I have to agree with the comments made by him/her and piano_man. I feel that Patrick is only half way through the job - managed to get rid of the unpleasantness that was inherited but hasn't had a chance to rebuild. Will be a great shame if he is relocated - who takes over? Good cook that he is, Artur is no 'front man' so I guess that means yet another manager for the place - can't be a good thing.

Great alternative in Hampton to the 'Dip' or the Worlds End - must admit though, agree with Goth_Rock_Rocks as far as the smoking goes (and I'm a smoker!) but the food is excellent as is the beer. Patrick and Artur really make you feel welcome - unlike the previous owners. Haltonsheirs, under the 'lovely' Nicky there wasn't any food nor any real beer - you can remember it used to be called the 'fightclub' can't you?
