The Angel and Greyhound, Oxford

This one is just freaky if you ask me. It's got some cool games, a nice selection of drinks, a relaxed and fun atmosphere, BUT it seems that the bar staff are selected for surliness.

I've been with the meekest, most polite people you could imagine in this place and the bar staff have somehow managed to seek out and find offense with them.

It's a great place, and I still go there, but the staff seem incredibly easy to irritate. I've never seen anything like it anywhere else.

Three Goats Heads, Oxford

A very good place for a chat. I usually take pals from out of town here early in the evening before moving on somewhere else.
Pretty cheap drinks in a very posh looking setting.

I guess the place is just "nice". Which is an adjective that usually turns me off...but this places manages to get away with it.

Jude The Obscure, Oxford

Nice atmosphere - I'm a sucker for retro-movie posters plastered seemingly at random.

Good pub lunches.

Great for a chat after seeing a film at the Phoenix, or just enjoying Jericho.
