The Ladas, Epsom

Went into a pub in this exact location last the week before last and asked how much is it for a pint of lime and soda - the chp said we don't have soda so I asked what about water and lime - he said 80p
Then just a few days ago I was queuing behind a man who was embarrassed because he wanted a sandwich but was told the others are upstairs (no customers up there) - then a very depressed character arrived and I asked how much was a pint of water and lime and it had gone up 40p in less than a week - I walked straight out the door
I believe they have come from another pub that they put out of business

The Barley Mow, Epsom

My wife and I have visted The Barley twice in the last year - we found it a change from our regular spot in Uxbridge where the beer is wet but not nice - we thought the idea of having a welsh theme spot-on - actually getting to North Wales is a long journey and now anyone from around Eposom can have it for nought! The food's overpriced but it's made up by the welcoming committee from the local Women's League - we picked up quite a bit of tat & rumour we normally aren't privvy to over near the airport. Beer overpriced as well but for a small sandwich and a diet coke we did very well
