I can think of no earthly reason why anyone who wasn't desperate for a pint before a match (and be prepared for some of the slowest bar service known to man by people who don't know what a smile is) would go to this place.
You can actually get a real ale (Wold Top) and Staropramen from Billys Bar across the road, owned by the football club. Such niceties aren't part of the Old Peacock's game plan.

A place that I always feel slightly unwelcome in when I first arrive, but within ten minutes feel like I've lived there all my life.
It's unique, in Leeds certainly, and indescribable.
The beers, well, you get the idea below.
A place that doesn't judge its customers by appearances and should therefeore not itself be judged merely on its looks.

The Hop, Wakefield
Due to BITE simply not responding to anything this is the only place I can point out that there is a Hop in Leeds which should have its own entry. Part of the same small Osset chain.
Sorry if this is deemed to be abuse but the Hop Leeds is now two years old, and despite two recommendations the owners simply won't add it, thus doing the beer drinking public a great disservice.
Same applies to the Port Street Beer House in Manchester, but that's another story.
