I live opposite so it is kind of my local. Beer is nearly always good quality but limited to Youngs or Abbot. Food is pretty standard but very reliable in quality. Staff are freindly and generally efficient.
This Pub really comes into it's own in the summer when the outside benches are great- if a bit noisy from traffic over the bridge.
One final thought... roll on the smoking laws! Then the best seats in the house - the leather sofas will be fair game for us non smokers!

The Kingfisher, Chertsey
The Kingfisher is right next door (over the Bridge) from the Boathouse. MY advice- pop into the Kingfisher for a pint- quite a nice selection - then over to the Boayt for a meal! The KIngfisher is sister pub to Thames Court- but in my experience the quality of food and service is not up to the same standard. I live 2 mins walk from this Pub and I've only eaten there twice - and been dissapointed both times. (Although the first time my wife thought it was fine).
In summary - lovely location - decent beer and wine - but food and service is variable to be polite.
