Elephant and Castle, Maida Hill

Yes it is shut, I was passing 2 weeks ago and it was being cordoned off by men in hi-vi's, its a pity really as that pub has been part of that area since the 1960's when the Elgin Estate was built. My Mum can recall the 1970's when she could hear live Irish bands playing late into the night at the weekends from the estate! Unfortunately it is now doomed like Chantry and Hermes Point who were demolished in 1995.
No doubt the council or maybe WECH will build housing on the plot of land and cram even more scum into a small space!!!

The Coopers Arms, Kilburn

What is this pub like?

My family went into this pub years ago and I would like to go in there and see if there are any old faces. But I am worried I might get called a plastic paddy or get intimidated by the regulars.
