The White Horse, Epsom

There's a lot of mud slinging going on below - can I maybe offer some impartial thinking?
I liked the pub under Stuart and Gemma. They are good people and they treated me well - from idle chat to offering samples of the guest ales before purchase.
As an out-and-out ale man, I enjoyed the range Stuart and Gemma had on - including local beers from Pilgrim etc. The food was pretty good too. However, they always struggled to pull a crowd and the pub was always quiet.
I've been into the pub since Jan took it over. Jan seemed decent enough - no critcisms really. But the real ales were gone, and the kitchen was not up and running. The pub was fairly quiet and the earlier friendly vibe was missing somehow.
The bottom line is that the pub was and is quiet. Previously I was drawn in by the ales but those are (at least at the moment) out of the window. Within months people will probably stop going there as the pub has too little to offer. After time, the pub, along with this post, will be long forgotten.
