The Greyhound, Charcott

This was my first visit to the Greyhound and I was very impressed. I'm glad to report that the pub has been under new ownership since summer 2017 - so none of the previous reports apply any more. I believe the place has had a total renovation and the main bar was fresh and airy but still retained a cosy country pub feel. There were complimentary cheesy nibbles on the bar and fresh flowers dotted around the interior. Two great pints of Larkins were enjoyed in the beer garden. Unfortunately I didn't have time to stay longer or sample the menu - but I will definitely be returning soon with my family and friends.

The Royal Oak, Crockham Hill

I like this pub a lot. My wife and I, with a couple of friends had a thoroughly
enjoyable mid-week dinner there two weeks back. It is a welcoming, traditional country pub with a range of excellent beers from the local Westerham Brewery and a selection of hearty 'home-cooked' dishes on the menu. It is nice to go into a pub and not have the distraction of piped music, fruit machines etc..just the gentle background buzz of conversation and laughter. On our visit, the staff could not have been more helpful and the food was excellent and came in very generous portions. Three super pints of Westerham's SPA topped off a great evening. We will be going back soon.
