More of a restaurant than a pub in a pleasant village location. Food is very good but a bit expensive, as is the wine list. When the fire is going, it's very cosy and a great place to while away a wet afternoon.

The Wheatsheaf Inn, Newark

I love this place - the atmosphere is really welcoming and the food is scrumptious. The specials board is a delight everytime we eat here. Always locally sourced and seasonal, I can't wait to see what's on it when we turn up. There's not much left on the plates when they go back to the kitchen, I can tell you!

Great location, only a few minutes from the A1 - I can thoroughly recommend it for its atmosphere and great food. And the husband says to mention that the beer is great here too!
