DavidSmall123 seems to forget that this is a pub and if he wants a coffee he should go to a COFFEE SHOP! Wetherspoon's are notoriously understaffed so I can't believe that the people "standing around chatting" were bar staff.
Having said that, I've had no delays getting served in each of my regular visits and there's a fine range of beers of beers on at the moment with a lot of local brewers represented. Well worth a visit.

Just want to endorse AEM's comments.
Basically a class, no frills neighbourhood boozer. You can chat to the regulars about politics, X-Factor or City, or just bury your nose in a book or the papers whist sampling a pint of the fine Hopback range. Usually 5 Hopback beers and one or two guests. The guest scrumpy policy seems to have disappeared though as it's now Weston's Trad(?) on permanently.

I actually suggested this place to BITE last year but haven't commented until now. (And it's not good......)
Full of yummy-mummies & arty-farty meejah types with their screaming, bawling progeny. It's like a creche sometimes! The glare from the assorted laptops must be a health hazard. The staff preen & pose and eventually serve you. Only worth visting for a quick drink before going to Teoh's restaurant next door.
