Bar 85, Hitchin

Great bar, no nonsense clientele. Think I spotted Catweazel and Billy Ocean in there one night. Guvnor is a big cricket fan, looks a bit like MS Dhoni. Great service and great sports and a severe lack of crumpet.

The Albert Inn, Hitchin

I tend to visit the Albert on a Saturday evening after an afternoon pre load watching the Big Noses. It has a great juke box, a good mix of stuff. Occasionally a live band playing and an interesting clientele. In particular a rotund elderly lass who has a voice like Chewbacca crossed with Sean Dyche.
