The St Mary's Gate, Arundel

This pub is a favourite of mine. Stayed there in July 2007 and returning next week. Very friendly staff and locals. The four-poster rooms are spacious and surprisingly inexpensive. Good selection of beers and food. I live 500 miles away but made some friends there last time and have been looking for an excuse to return. Recommended.

The Black Rabbit, Offham

Had an excellent meal here in the summer. I was impressed that they offer portions for the smaller appetite although it was still an ample serving. I've never seen this option back home in Scotland. Stunning views and the staff were very friendly. If you're in Arundel it's well worth taking a walk to. I think it's about two miles but there's plenty of wildlife along the way.
