The Moat House, Taunton

Oh dear oh dear oh dear oh dear.. popped in one eve last week, after waiting with great anticipation of the re-opening of my (and my friends) favourite pub in taunton, one that we have supported for over four years, up until a lame tory councillor screwed things up for everyone.
Had such great expectations, which is such a shame, as now just feel let down by taunton nightlife.
The new landlady has absolutely not one iota of charm or personality, the doormen, whilst doing their job, and being polite made no attempt to open the door for us, nor welcome/greet us into the establishment upon arriving. When we mentioned this (in joking) to the landlady we were met with a torrent of abuse!!!

"Charm school, she did not attend".

Will not be going to this pub again, unless we hear that the pub has again changed hands.. we are so disappointed it is untrue, as this was the best pub in Taunton for a few years.
Jane & Jp for all their faults, knew how to run a busy pub with some charm and personality.
