the best real ale pub i've been in in many a year. real log fire 6 beautifully conditioned ales, friendly welcome from the bar staff and other customers. a great great pub. and to put the icing on the cake, it doesn't sell food! a good selling point is the landlord drinks and is passionate about his beer.

The Old Coach House, Southwell

One of the few remaining 'Proper Pubs'. Always has a good selection of real ales from 3.6 to 5.9 from light to amber and occasional mild, most importantly Landlord has an enthusiasm for beer, cheese and nibbles early doors and more on a Friday nite. Good atmosphere well worth a visit only from 5pm on weekdays.
