One of the better Youngs pubs, certainly beats the Green Man. Food is the standard Youngs menu, although with some variations.
Not a bad pub for a night out. Can get very busy.

I first visited this pub in December. The bar was friendly, both locals and staff. The beer well served. And the general standards of the pub good. A little disappointed by the food menu, little imagination used and nutritionally poor. However, the beer and service made up for it and the bar was busy.
What a difference a few weeks can make. I visited again last week. The staff grudgingly served, that is when they finished there conversation at the end of the bar (or the manager turned up). The service was appalling. Not to mention the one member of staff talking very loudly about his homosexuality, you had no choice but to listen to him or leave the pub I have no issues with this, I just dont want it rammed down my throat when having a beer. The pub was empty.
Its a shame the pub itself has gone down hill. The reputation of the Green Man in Putney is not very good. Regulars now drink elsewhere, and only the old soaks remain in the pub. A pub to simply meet up with friends for a single drink before moving on. Not recommended for a night out.

The Jolly Gardners, Putney
Have to say I have been impressed by the food served here. The menu constantly changes as items run out, so always a good variety on offer.
Do a good selection of beers. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Glad I stumbled across it, and will certainly divert that way again (maybe tonight)
