The Woolpack, Brookland

Went to this pub during our stay in Camber Sands last week. We chose it as it looked very cosy and friendly when we went to find somewhere for dinner. We arrived and ordered a round of drinks and the lady that served us was very nice and helpful. Sadly, that was where our positive review ended. We ordered 7 meals and waited for over an hour for any sign of food. 2 plates were delived by a very harassed looking waitress, and we realised the dishes were cold. We asked for them to be replaced with hot food and she returned 5 minutes later with exactly the same plates having been reheated in the microwave! We called her over again to ask for a further replacement, whereupon she advised us that there had been a row in the kitchen, everyone was shouting at her and she promptly slammed the plates down on the table and burst into tears!
By now it was nearing 90 minutes since we had ordered and my husband asked when we could reasonably expect to see some food. This was conveyed to the kitchen staff who didnt realise my husband could see them and a young man began swearing and using rude hand gestures.
We can only assume that the Landlord was away or unavailable, as the pub seemed to be being run by very young, inexperienced staff.
It is a shame as we regularly travel to Camber to visit friends and relatives, but we certainly wont use or even recommend this pub again
