No doubt about it, P and F are trying really hard to get this pub to be a pub where the beer is reliably great and the chat is sober, funny and reasonably polite. Allready the changes they've implemented have made a difference, and they need to be congratulated and encouraged to continue on this excellent path. My question is this, will those penny-pinching bean counters with no imagination really invest a little more in the pub now? Their track record inspires me not a lot. Agree with magnumpi about the music, cancel all gigs please.

What this pub needs is someone at the helm who is interested in the taste of the beer and its unceasing supply to us. On neither count has this landlord convinced me that he knows what he is doing.
Also, I want whoever is serving me to look me in the eye when I'm given the change. That never happens! I just don't think the current guy is cut out for this job. Its more than just about working hard, its also about a "feeling" or an "understanding" about beer and pubs and the pubs' social life. I've tried to find something positive to say about this place and it has to be "the flowers in the front look nice".
