The Village House Hotel, Findon

Went in to their restaurant with some friends on friday night..what a load of rubbish!!!
Just as an example my starter sounded good on the menu
"Sliced tomatoes on a toasted ciabatta with mozarella" at around �6 I expected something a bit more well presented and edible.
However, I got a roll cut in half which was toasted to the consistency of a brick with 2 thick slices of under ripe cheap tomatoes and a bit of mozarella that dissapeared with the first miniscule mouthful.
The other starters were not much better and as we had already ordered our main courses we were hoping for something better.
Not to be though as it was all a bit amateurish and tasteless.
The surroundings were not much better and it had no atmosphere whatsoever.
This all cost us over �100 for 4 people and we didn't have wine and only a couple of drinks.
Be warned, this is a pub pretending to be a restaurant and if the food that we had was anything to go by it's an absolute rip off!!!
