The George and Vulture, Hoxton

Came here last thursday (11th Aug) after work to meet some mates. Once I had located the place I found a really chilled out venue. A good mix of locals and post-ironic trendy types (It is Hoxton after all...). The music was outstanding. They had a DJ who was playing jazz, funk, blues and then loads of random stuff. He even threw in some Frank Sinatra and Tom Jones to keep the old locals happy. And it was kept at a decent volume!!!! The place felt like an actual pub. This would make a great local - shame i dont live anywhere near it. I had the guiness and it went down a treat! As did the pizza. A really good night - restored my faith in pubmanity.
