The Griffin Head Hotel, Accrington

Hello not visited the Griffin since last September, as they now provide meals, we went to try out the menu Thursday 29th July. We arrived before door opened at 5 pm
Tony was sat at a table using his Laptop P.C never even looked up to greet customers, not the way to make people want to return, wonder what happened to the word friendly on their recent literature pushed through my letter box, how things seem to change if your not a regular!
The meal was fine edible wise, as was the service of the pleasant young waitress Tony's daughter.
What was doing our heads in was the blaring out of inane music, from the two large T.V screens, this spoilt the meal for us & we shall not return for another due to this.
The limited space doesn't help, a separate quieter room for meals would be better than what is available.

Hello,
This Is a friendly pub & the Quiz night quite good, there are free sandwiches laid on by Tony the new Landlord & his family team.

On our third quiz night visit Wednesday 23rd September 2009 we noticed a marked decline In number of customers, could possibly be a holiday hiccup, hope so as on our previous visits atmosphere was buzzing!
Format of Quiz had been changed I thought for the better, could that have deterred some people to stay away?
