Usual problem with pubs in great locations, they get lots of custom without having to try hard, so they don't.
What appeared to be the more senior staff have a slightly grating manner that gives you the impression they find you a bit irritating. The actual waiting staff are
much more pleasant.
My steak was fatty and chewy and rather unpleasant, the sauce was delicious. The pudding appeared to be "home made" and really very good. The coffee was wretched. Overall it was too expensive for the quality provided.
