Brannigans, Reading

Like Bar Med, Brannigans is nothing more than a human cattle market. I got the impression from most of the customers in there that it was a pick-up point for hussies and one-night stands.
Absolutely grotesque venue - I'd rather stay in and clean the toilet on a Saturday night!

Oh, and God forbid you look someone in the eye...

The Purple Turtle, Reading

Nice pub during the week, but avoid at the weekends.
All the chavs seem to spill out from places in Friar street on Friday and Saturday nights and over to the Turtle as it is open later. This is what causes all the fights and confrontation within the pub. Would be good if they had some kind of post midnight membership thingy where only members could enter (I don't think most of the chavs would be bothered with something like this) then it could be returned to its former glory. The chavs bring this place right down at the weekends!
