The Ashton Arms, Oldham

Visited the other night looking forward to a nice pint of Millstone's Tiger Rut, but was unfortunately refused due to only having a provisional driving license as a form of identification for my age.

A shame, considering it's a damn good pub, but I don't think anyone would illegally purchase a fake provisional driving license and out of all the pubs in Oldham visit a dedicated real ale house.

So, carried on up the hill to the Up Steps Wetherspoons instead, where they were more than happy to take my I.D, and serve me a nice beer as a result.

Overall: Go in if you're over 25. Otherwise, be sure you're equipped with your birth certificate.
