The New Inn, Send

AS a regular at the New Inn for more than quarter of a century, I feel qualified to have my say.
The New Inn is a 'middle' pub.
It has boozers (no surprise to me, I'm one of them), but it's not a boozers' pub. It serves superb food, but it's not a restaurant. It serves superb ales, but does not pander to real ale addicts alone.
In short, it's a pub for everyone.
This isn't faint praise. There aren't many pubs where you can relax, after a stroll along the towpath, with a pint or a meal, watch a bit of telly, enjoy a large beer garden (especially in the summer), all without listening to a barrage of swearwords, or some city boy describing his latest Porsche.
It's a pub that grows on you. Pay the New Inn a visit; bring the family, and Gran, and the dog (and if you've got one spare, can you bring us a fit barmaid...).

P.s. Ask the bar manager to do his Rick Astley impersonation.
