This used to be a smashing little pub, a real community hub with live music and great beer. Dark Star beer to be precise. And then some kind person decided to stop all that, to discontinue Dark Star's presence, to reorganise the bar, and change the beers, stick a load of meaningless kitsch up on the walls to 'provide character' etc. The result? It isn't a bad place as these things go, but the beer is on the whole undistinguished, the drinks cost about 1 each more than at other Lindfield watering holes, the Thai food ain't bad if you don't mind sitting at a tiny round table to eat it. The place has been made bland and expensive, the clientle has gone from being a true cross-section to mostly the bourgeois young, there's no live music any more, the atmosphere has been ruined. Very sad.
