The Horse and Groom, Rushlake Green

Found this pub by accident last week while on holiday in the area. It is nearly 12 months since the last comments and something must have changed for the better. Food was first class, both from the printed menu and the 7 or 8 options from the blackboards. The young girl serving the food was very polite, efficient and attentive . We dined there 4 nights out of the 6 and would have to say that it was the best combined service / quality and range of food that we have had anywhere in England. There were 3 adults (50s) in our party and we spend at least 1 week a year in a different part of your lovely country. Thank you to the staff for making our holiday in your area even better than we were expecting it to be.

The White Horse Inn, Bodle Street Green

Pub was recommended by locals as a good place for food. Called in on Subday evening 20th Sept and when we eventually got the attention of the person behind the bar we enquired about a table for 3 people. Was told curtly that "we are not doing food" despite the menues posted outside. No explaination/ apology. We never went back. Our average spend each evening for that week was �90.00. Lost business for want of proper custumer relations.
