The Royal Stag, Datchet
Took my wife to the Royal Stag for an early pre-theatre meal on a Saturday evening. Service efficient but not over-friendly. No problem with pint glasses being short-filled. Food good and reasonably priced. �10.50 for three excellent lamb cutlets, potato rossi and selection of veg. �3.50 for hot puddings and custard/cream. Decor a little scruffy (perhaps 'with character'). Will visit again.
