Terrible pub, terrible food (eaten there twice and both times inedible) and TERRIBLE staff and service. I live round the corner but I've basically given up as it takes so long to get served and it's so unwelcoming. As inconvienient it is I'd rather traipse up the hill to the Preston Park Tavern or the Cleveland.

The Bull and Gate, Kentish Town
Best pub in Kentish Town by a long long way.
All the other are either pretentious or rough and this is neither.
And it doubles up as one of the best music venues in London!
Genius!!!

Only worth going to if you're going to the excellent Dirty Water club on a Friday evening next door, or if you're in the area and its the only place open as its got a late licence.
Otherwise stay away unless you like fights and karaoke nights.

The Crown and Sceptre, Fitzrovia
A great pub but awful staff and way too busy... therefore you spend a very, very long time waiting to be served and never get a seat at busy times.

A great Sam Smiths pub and a decent crowd considering the area.

A decent enough place for the area but until the smoking ban comes in its suffers from being very, very smokey. I imagine it will be a much better place thereafter.
Decent staff and great pizzas but.... no real beers!!!... only Fosters etc. Oh well.

The Narrow Street Pub & Dining Room, Limehouse
Because of the great thames-side location, this pub has always been worth a visit... but after the decent enough makeover, the adding of three good real ales, and a very good and easonably priced food menu push this up into one of the best pubs in London.
If you want to eat but can't book a table, turn up anyway as the outside seating area can't be booked so you should be waiting too long.

The Preston Park Tavern, Brighton
A dull pub but amazing food. Recommended for a meal only. And probably a bit of an occasion too as it's not cheap!
